Online furniture and home products marketplace, Pepperfry, has introduced a new gift registry service that enables consumers to create a wishlist of products that their friends and family and gift to them. With this service, users can add their desired products to a wish list and provide details like the occasion, shipment address, while the platform will have popular payment modes, including net banking, mobile wallets, UPI, credit and debit cards.
Abhimanyu Lal, Chief Product Officer, Pepperfry said, “While the concept of a Gift Registry is popular in global markets, we are delighted to have pioneered the concept in Indian e-commerce at a grand scale by offering this service across 500 plus cities. Through this service, we aim to change the landscape of the gifting process and form a deeper engagement with our consumers through improved shopping experiences.”
The company expects to garner 15-20 per cent of its revenue from the new service during the wedding season over the next three years.
