Coronavirus outbreak: Mask, sanitizer & gloves sales are skyrocketing
Amid the coronavirus alarm in India, the sale of face masks, sanitizer, and gloves have soared in the country. India’s manufacturing industry has gone into overdrive to produce more such personal protective equipment to leverage the growing domestic and global market. Face masks have become increasingly scarce and demand continues to skyrocket as China and a dozen other countries around the world, battle the novel COVID-19 disease, which has killed more than 2,700 people and infected approximately more than 80,000 people.
Various industry players like TradeIndia.com, Pee Safe, Dettol have cited the rise in the manufacturing and export of coronavirus as people rush to medical stores to get their hands on either N95 or surgical face masks to
protect themselves from the threat of coronavirus. The major demand is witnessed from Indian Cities and mostly for reselling purposes. Also, there is an increase in demand for mask making machine by 250%.
